Curiosity - "Found" Reviews

Curiosity We origianally intended to distribute Curiosity by leaving it around New York for people to discover on their own. Recently a few copies made it to the streets of the East Village. We asked those who find a copy to email us about their experience and then leave the disc somewhere for someone else to find. Here are some of the responses we have recieved so far. Keep checking back to see more "found reviews" and keep-your-eyes open - you never know where a copy of Curiosity will pop up.

Cassie - (Rochester ~ 03/12/06)
"We found the disc on a light pole in Rochester, N.Y. Two days later, the stains and the smell are finally out of the couch after sh*tting my pants from watching this movie."

Antonio - (NYC ~ 03/09/06)
"Congratulations!! It's pure art. It makes you feel like (you are) inside the movie. Thank you for your art."

Sophia - (Rochester ~ 02/09/06)
"Found your film. Watched it. Loved it. Frightening and brilliant! I was sincerely freaked out. Once the weather clears up, I shall pass it on. Thanks for making my day a little more unpredictable."

Ceci - (Mexico City ~ 12/23/05)
"Hello..... I am actually writing to you from Mexico City. My sister lives in New York and she found this videotape. She then came to Mexico to visit us and brought it with her. I am in complete awe of this project.... I think it definitely fulfills its purpose and is an excellent idea as a whole. I have a perfect idea of where I want to place this videotape in Mexico City and I am hoping that it will travel out of my country since the place I will place it is full of foreigners. Well, I guess that's it for my part... Mucha suerte!!!!"

Jason - (New York City ~ 12/07/05)
"Hello - …found your disc on Lafayette Street in NYC's East Village. I think it's great... the way my unintended participation/implication in the plot slowly revealed itself made me feel like i was actually in one of those visual feedback loops you get when you point a video camera at it's own feed in real time. Really good. Pretty trippy. The only problem is I don't feel like leaving it for someone else. I'd like to Show it to John who was with me when i found it but he's gone back to london. If I don't leave it is that bad cinema Karma and will I find a weirdo in my apartment? Anyhow, congratulations on a great idea and an imaginative use of context. My roomate's review simply reads 'a treat'. Thanks for a nice surprise and good luck with everything."

Gabriela - (New York City ~ 11/29/05)
"Dear All, My fiancée and I found your DVD on the Uptown booth of the 6 train in Astor Place. A few hours later we came back home and watched it! It is brilliant! You are brilliant!!! This is the first time we watch a film and feel so much implicated. Congratulations! The cat is dead."

Olga - (New York City ~ 11/27/05)
"Hello there my name is Olga and I picked up 'Curiosity' when I was in NY over Thanksgiving break. I am from upstate NY in Rochester. And I think that short was probably the scariest short I have seen - freaky more like it. Thanks a lot."
